Women's Retreat

Becoming: Mind, Body and Soul

Being a woman in today's world is not an easy prospect.
It's hard to get it right, it's hard to find that balance if such a thing even exists.
Connecting the mind with the body and with the soul can seem like a never-ending task. How many times do you get the opportunity to take a step back and see where that disconnect is occurring?

COST: $700/head - includes transfers to and from the accommodation. Leaving from 235 Railway Parade, Maylands at 11am on Friday 17th and returning Sunday 21st at 3.30pm. Food while at the accomodation Friday evening through to Sunday morning. An action packed, guided weekend by Susan Grober (Physiotherapist - Exercise and Sport Scientist), Sarah Kaesler (Counsellor and  Psychotherapist) and Belinda Neo (Accredited Practising Dietitian).

What to expect at the retreat!

Cost:     $700 per person.

What does my registration fee cover/include?

  • Transfer to and from the retreat (from Tribe and Trail in Maylands)
  • 5 meals; and also morning and afternoon tea on Saturday 20th January; snacks, tea/coffee/milks (dairy, soy and oat milks will be provided – please advise of any other alternative milk requirements)
  • Accommodation for Friday 19th and Saturday 20th January. PLEASE NOTE: many of the rooms are twin share, and whilst some rooms will not be shared, it is important that you are aware that you may be required to share a room with another person. Please advise if you are attending with a friend or relative whom you would prefer to share with.
  • 4 x Physio-led sessions (including strength and conditioning focus, HIIT, mobility work and trail runs/hikes)
  • 2 x Dietician-led sessions (including education and cooking activity)
  • 4 x Counsellor-led sessions focused on exercises to develop self compassion; mindfulness and meditation practices, personal reflection and goal setting

Accommodation:

During the retreat, you will stay in a comfortable, purpose built quarters, on a beautiful farm in the Pinjarra area bushland. The property has ample space for both group retreat activities and personal reflection.

PLEASE NOTE: many of the rooms are twin share, and whilst some rooms will not be shared, it is important that you are aware that you may be required to share a room with another person. Please advise if you are attending with a friend or relative whom you would prefer to share with.

The majority of the rooms have their own bathrooms attached. There is a large kitchen on the premises, the majority of our meals during the retreat will be cooked/prepared in this kitchen. You are welcome to use the kitchen to store personal snacks/supplies or to make tea/coffee during the retreat.

Meals:

All meals during the retreat (breakfast, morning and afternoon tea, lunch and dinner) will be provided with the exception of lunch on Friday the 19th January and Sunday 21st January.

The focus will be primarily on “nourishing food”, for the duration of the retreat.

Please advise of any dietary requirements as soon as possible (at least within 7 days of the retreat).

Drinks:

Tea/coffee/milk and some juices will be provided.

Should you wish to consume any alcoholic or other beverages during the retreat, you are most welcome to bring your own. Whilst we would not encourage drinking to excess during the retreat as it may spoil your experience, we ant you to feel comfortable to bring/consume a glass of wine or other beverage in the evenings if that fits within your realm of “self-kindness”.

Cancellation/refund policy:

It is understandable that sometimes “life” happens, and our plans need to change, or you may need to withdraw from the retreat due to personal circumstance or illness.

As accommodation has been paid in advance, we are unable to offer a full refund unless there is adequate notice provided to enable us to fill the vacant spot. Following this, we will have purchased all resources/food/catering within 24 hours of the retreat and would be unable to offer a refund for this reason.

These are our terms:

  • If you provide 7 days notice of withdrawal/cancellation, a 100% refund may be issued.
  • If you provide less than 7 days but more than 48 hours notice of withdrawal/cancellation, a 50% refund may be issued.
  • If you provide less than 48 hours notice but more than 24 hours notice of withdrawal/cancellation, a 25% refund may be issued.
  • If you provide less than 24 hours notice of withdrawal/cancellation, we are unable to issue a refund.

Getting to and from the retreat:

Transfer to and from the retreat is available via van, from the central location of Tribe and Trail (235 Railway Parade Maylands).

If you’d prefer to make your own way to and from the retreat this is possible (please advise us if this is your preference) however please be aware that you will miss out on several of the opening activities which will occur during the commute to Pinjarra.

Departure from Maylands: Leaving at 11am Friday 19th January.

Departure post-retreat: We will depart Pinjarra following a shared celebratory lunch in the local surrounds, will an estimated return time to Maylands of 2:30pm Sunday 21st January.

What to bring?

  • A towel (bed linen will be provided)
  • Personal insect repellent and suncream
  • A hat
  • Sports/running shoes
  • 4 x sets of active wear/exercise gear (eg. shorts and t shirt)
  • Loose, comfortable clothing for other activities
  • Any personal medications required (please advise retreat staff of any medical/other needs prior to the retreat so that arrangements may be made as suitable)
  • Cash/card for meals not included (lunch Friday 19th and lunch Sunday 21st January)
  • Any preferred snacks/beverages
  • An open mind and open heart (willingness to bring your courage, your vulnerability and “experience” mindset ????)
